about

"Ça ira, Il Fiume Della Rivolta - River of Revolt (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) a movie produced and directed by Tinto Brass in 1964. The album includes 18 songs from the movie composer Romolo Grano.

"Brass assembles together a series of macabre and very direct sequences that tell about the October Revolution, the Mexican Revolution, the Great War, the invasion of China by the Japanese, the Spanish War, the Second World War, Nazism, fascism, the death camps, the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Paul Éluard also appears in the film reading one of his poems and there are two songs interpreted by Édith Piaf and Edmonda Aldini. The theme of sex as an ideological derailleur is also presented."
