The story of Pierluigi Torregiani's last days of his life. Pierluigi Torregiani (Francesco Montanari), the owner of a jewelry shop on the northern outskirts of Milan, was killed in an ambush by the Pac, Armed Proletarians for Communism, in 1979. The vicissitudes of the forty-year-old merchant and his family, who after reacting to an attempted robbery, finds himself wearing the label of "sheriff" and is sentenced to death by a terrorist group.
